Professor of Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development with a focus on Managing Sustainable Development. One of main purpose of this discipline is to contribute to the Ecological, Social and Economic aspects of environmental sustainability by delivering educational resources to a variety of learner population and fostering a connection with Natural systems to faciliate achievements in Sustatinable Development (SD).
Prof Kanyimba serves as a UNESCO expert on the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in formal education, higher education, and teacher education. He serves as the National Advisor to Namibia’s National Environmental Education and Education for Sustainable Development programme. Prof Kanyimba is a practitioner of sustainable development, with a focus on implementing, evaluating, and monitoring the utilisation of sustainable development practices within boundary institutions.
His recent publication focuses on ‘Listening to the Voices of Namibia’s Recreational Anglers to Improve Shore-based Fishery Resource Use and Management,” published in the African Journal of Marine Science, and “The Cultural Blues and the Blue Economy in Namibia,” published in Africa Insights.
