Dr. Moyin John is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Thabo Mbeki African School of International Affairs, University of South Africa. She specialises in population and development studies. Her focus is on the intersection of education, labour markets, and economic competitiveness in developing countries. She employs advanced quantitative methods to analyse how human capital formation and employment structures affect development outcomes and long-term economic performance.
She applies advanced statistical modelling and demographic techniques to examine how human capital drives inclusive economic growth and reduces inequality. Her approach generates evidence-based insights that shape policy and guide development planning.
Between 2018 and 2024, Moyin served as a Research Development and Postgraduate Support (RDPS) coach, mentoring students to sharpen their analytical skills. This role enhanced her ability to explain complex statistical concepts and foster research excellence among emerging scholars.
